Description

Paxsudos Notify Center Platform (PNC) is a lightweight notification platform for command-line workflows, applications and long-running tasks. It provides a common path for delivering notifications to a supported Linux desktop and, when selected, to an Android mobile device.
PNC is especially useful for development and administration workflows where a process can take a long time and the user does not want to continuously watch a terminal. A command can be run through the PNC command wrapper and a notification can be delivered when the job completes or when the surrounding workflow decides that attention is needed.
The platform combines the PNC command wrapper, desktop notification components and the PNC delivery proxy. Existing shell scripts and command-line workflows can use the notification tools without having to implement their own desktop-notification transport.
Desktop support currently targets GNOME environments. Android is currently the only supported mobile platform. Android delivery is optional and can be enabled when ordering the product. Other desktop and mobile platforms are not advertised as supported by this product at this time.

The base product includes the PNC platform proxy. Optional Android mobile support extends the notification path to Android clients. The license period is selected when ordering, and technical support can be added separately for the desired support period.
